Recorded after school in the music department, this is a jam with Mr Bradley on guitar and me on keyboards. It was recorded with the mics on my cassette recorder so the quality isn't that great. I've called it Guitar Plus 11 as it was a guitar and a Roland Piano Plus EP-11.
I have always been keen on making music, and at school I played the glockenspiel in a few school concerts. My real interest was the keyboards, and in secondary school I had a Casio VL-Tone. Chris also had one and I remember us trying to play them together when we were doing our prefect duties. The school had a few keyboards which I got to use when I playing in an after school band with Nicola (on guitar), physics teacher Mr Bradley (on bass) and one of the woodwork teachers who's name escapes me (on drums). Even though we played in the new music room we never recorded anything, except for one piece which was just me and Mr Bradley on guitar. I found a cassette recording and have included it below. Jeremy and I tried to record some stuff but we didn't have any drums (although I remember Keith's younger brother had a drum machine). Instead I looped together some drum sections from twelve inch singles (notably Yazoo stuff) to provide the rhythm section. I got more proficient when I left school and could buy my own equipment, and many of the pieces below are from those times.
Recorded during a kareoke session on a bonfire night round mine many years ago. The original recording only had Chris singing, so I've mixed it with the original track he was listening to.

Tom and I spent an afternoon coming up with this answerphone message for him.
A version of Yazoo's track Situation I made with samples of Chris, some taken from a trip to Alton Towers.
One afternoon whilst Jeremy played games on my BBC Micro, Simon played disc jockey with my audio set up.
For some reason I couldn't go to a trip to Brands Hatch, so I gave Tom my tape recorder and I got some samples from the day. I then created this track around them.
Simon continues playing disc jockey with my audio set up.
A piece made with samples of Jeremy and Simon, used for the end credits of the Housewarming '89 video.
